(L.A.) Michael Lee, 36, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Michael Lee.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP MICHAEL LEE (August 21, 1987 – December 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:57 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in June the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Lee” in public records.
