(L.A.) Michael Knocke, 70, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Knocke.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension

RIP MICHAEL KNOCKE (June 4, 1954 – August 22, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:15 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
