(L.A.) Michael Holzboog, 55, Died from Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old male that occurred in a board and care facility.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Holzboog and listed his race/ethnicity as Latin American.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:18 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 22, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.
