(L.A.) Mia Jiang, 10, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 10-year-old Asian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the girl as Mia Jiang.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Penetrating Gunshot Wound of Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was shot by her stepfather in Baldwin Park on November 17, alongside her paternal grandparents Yulan Wang and Qiufu Jiang. They died on the scene. She was taken to the hospital where she would succumb to her injuries days later.
