(L.A.) Melissa Federico, 39, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Melissa Federico.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Cocaine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s surname as Frederico.
