(L.A.) Maureen Abad, 30, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Asian female that occurred at her place of residence on New Year’s Eve.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Maureen Abad of Cerritos, California.

Born in Bellflower, L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Haldos.

Cause of Death: Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:38 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

The decedent appears to have been of Filipino descent.
