Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk in Compton.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Matthews Currie. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Burleson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

LASD said the shooting happened in the 200 block of North Bowen Avenue.
