(L.A.) Matthew Youngberg, 36, Died at a Hotel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a hotel.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Matthew Youngberg.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Oxycodone Intoxication

RIP MATTHEW YOUNGBERG (November 13, 1988 – March 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:54 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
