(L.A.) Matthew Villasenor, 28, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Hispanic male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Villasenor.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fluoxetine, Hydroxyzine, Ziprasidone, Chlorcyclizine and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant.

Hydroxyzine, sold under the brand names Atarax and Vistaril among others, is an antihistamine medication. It is used in the treatment of itchiness, insomnia, anxiety, and nausea, including that due to motion sickness. I

Ziprasidone, sold under the brand name Geodon among others, is an atypical antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Chlorcyclizine is a first generation phenylpiperazine class antihistamine used to treat urticaria, rhinitis, pruritus, and other allergy symptoms. Chlorcyclizine also has some local anesthetic, anticholinergic, and antiserotonergic properties, and can be used as an antiemetic.
