(L.A.) Matthew Veltri, 39, Died at a Halfway House

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a halfway house.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Matthew Veltri.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Carlson.

RIP MATTHEW VELTRI (April 29, 1985 – July 19, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:47 p.m.

The government investigator had initiallly stated that the place of death was a residence before later changing it to a halfway house.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
