(L.A.) Matthew Susman, 59, Died at a Hotel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a hotel.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Matthew Susman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Drug Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: History of Emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 24 presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
