(L.A.) Matthew Lentz, 56, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Lentz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Morphine, Codeine and Methamphetamine

RIP MATTHEW LENTZ (March 22, 1968 – September 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:57 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in January, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
