(L.A.) Mason Fonseca, 27, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mason Fonseca.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Lidocaine

RIP MASON FONSECA (August 16, 1997 – February 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:37 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
