(L.A.) Martha Almashaqbeh, 32, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old “Caucasian” female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Martha Almashaqbeh of Canoga Park, California.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Asthma

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Phencyclidine, Methamphetamine, and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:17 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 14, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.

The decedent’s surname is associated with the Middle East, particularly the country of Qatar.

She was arrested on November 8, 2022, by LAPD’s Topanga Division and charged with a felony.

Height: 5 feet 5 inches. Weight: 165

When she was arrested on December 18, 2022, by LAPD’s Newton Division, she was classified as Hispanic and her hair was recorded as being blonde. It was for felony possession of a firearm.

Her last booking in L.A. County was on January 17, 2023. It was a citizen’s arrest for misdemeanor trespassing. Her hair at the time was black.
