(L.A.) Mark Solis, 39, Died from an Accidental OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mark Solis and gave his race/ethnicity as Latino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:53 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was made public on October 20, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive.

Drug deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
