(L.A.) Mark Simon, 34, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mark Simon.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP MARK SIMON (April 3, 1988 – February 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:46 p.m.

The DME had originally published this record on February 18 with the name Mark James. The surname was changed to Simon by March 12.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early August, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
