Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mark Luna.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds

RIP MARK LUNA (December 24, 1981 – June 27, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:34 p.m.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Pico Rivera station were called at 8:18 p.m. to the 9400 block of Underwood Street, near Whittier and Passons boulevards, regarding a “shots fired” call. They found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
