(L.A.) Mark Brooks, 58, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mark Brooks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin and Methamphetamine

RIP MARK BROOKS (September 23, 1966 – May 9, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:22 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
