(L.A.) Maria Peralta, 77, Died in Boyle Heights

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her apartment residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Maria Peralta.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP MARIA CARMEN PERALTA (February 9, 1947 – February 5, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:05 a.m.

The decedent was allegedly killed by her 46-year-old son Alejandro Terriquez.

LAPD had responded to the 100 block of Cummings Street near 1st Street.

The suspect is currently being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown L.A. in lieu of $2,000,000 bail. His next court date is on March 20.
