Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old male that occurred in transitional housing.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marco Benitez.

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:04 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
