(L.A.) Marcelis Gude, 22, Died in a Hospital

Case Number: 2021-07137

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Marcelis Gude.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP MARCELIS GUDE (October 20, 1998 – June 15, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.

The decedent was shot near the intersection of East 102nd and San Pedro streets in South Los Angeles. He was the son of William Gude, known for the Hollywood-based @FilmThePoliceLA account on Twitter.

I want to make sure no one goes through their kids’ or loved ones murder alone. That their kids aren’t forgotten. That family members do have resources so they can grieve without other worries. I’ve been lucky. They haven’t. Let’s keep them in our thoughts from here on out.

I was talking to this kid on Sunset about music. I told him my son just got songs on iTunes before he was killed.

He asked me what my son went by and I told him “Hollow”. He knew of my son. He said they’re playing his music all over NYC right now. I’ve heard that, too.

Public accountability? What’s that?

Those kids shot my son 17 times. What does public accountability do? There aren’t enough survivor support programs in the world that would make me comfortable with the three kids that assassinated my son being free.
