(L.A.) Manuel Muñoz, 49, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Manuel Muñoz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:01 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
