(L.A.) Manuel Mora, 52, Died on a Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Latino male that occurred on a beach.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Manuel Mora.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:33 a.m.

Video description: On Tuesday morning, a lifeless body was discovered on the beach in Santa Monica south of the Pier by Tower 22. Witness stated it was a homeless man, who appeared to be white or Hispanic, with tattoos on his chest and shoulders. He was found with his bicycle and some belongs.
