Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Malvin Hays.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP MALVIN HAYS (October 4, 1966 – November 19, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:50 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
