Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lynda Aponte.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP LYNDA APONTE (January 11, 1956 – February 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:23 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
