(L.A.) Lupe De La Torre, 55, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lupe De La Torre.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disese

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine; Medical History of Polysubstance Abuse, Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 3), Chronic Liver Cirrhosis, Type II Diabetes, Ascites with Paracentesis

RIP LUPE DE LA TORRE (December 12, 1967 – September 26, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
