Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lonell Burks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Intoxication

RIP LONELL BURKS (December 8, 1977 – February 23, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:15 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
