(L.A.) Lisbeth Santana Estrada Rodriguez, 33, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a sidewalk in South L.A.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lisbeth Santana Estrada Rodriguez.

Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:40 p.m.

The decedent was fatally injuired by an SUV that had lost control near West 46th Street and Normandie Avenue.

She was crossing in an unmarked crosswalk. The vehicle crashed into a building, pinning her between the car and the wall.

Lisbeth Santana Estrada Rodriguez was a wife and a mother of two young children. She owned a small neighborhood market near their home and was likely on her way to pick up her kids from school.

She is also survived by her parents in El Salvador.

The driver, identified as Dwight William Jr., stayed at the scene. The 31-year-old was later booked for manslaughter. Evidence at the scene indicated that he was driving recklessly at the time of the crash.
