Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Asian female that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lisa Tran.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Ethanol and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Mitral Valve Prolapse and Spontaneous Carotid Artery Rupture

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:07 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug. This is considered an accidental overdose.
