(L.A.) Lily Wong, a Baby, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an Asian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the infant girl as Lily Wong.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Hydranencephaly

Cause of Death B: Maternal Blunt Pelvic Trauma (Prenatal)

RIP LILY WONG (February 8, 2000 – January 12, 2001)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:32 p.m.

Hydranencephaly is a condition in which the brain’s cerebral hemispheres are absent to a great degree and the remaining cranial cavity is filled with cerebrospinal fluid.
