(L.A.) Leopold Trumpet, 74, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Leopold Trumpet.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made early Monday morning.

The decedent was apparently hit by a vehicle at an intersection in the Beverly Grove area at around 1:08 a.m.

LAPD said the vehicle was northbound on La Cienega Boulevard crossing San Vicente Boulevard.

The driver stopped and stayed on scene.
