(L.A.) Leiah Thomas, 21, Died at a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old female that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the young woman as Leiah Thomas and listed her race/ethnicity as Hispanic/Latino + Black.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Phencyclidine, and Methamphetamine

RIP LEIAH THOMAS (September 10, 2003 – March 22, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
