(L.A.) Laura Sanchez Ruiz, 46, Died on the 91 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on the Artesia Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Laura Sanchez Ruiz of Pico Rivera.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP LAURA SANCHEZ RUIZ (September 26, 1978 – May 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:36 p.m.

The decedent was driving a Scion XD when it developed problems. She exited her car and while standing outside was hit by multiple vehicles.

Note that the government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Maria Sanchez.
