Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Latisha Whitaker.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Septic Shock

Cause of Death B: Staphylococcus aureus Bacteremia

Cause of Death C: Probable Endocarditis

Other Significant Conditions: Community-Acquired Pneumonia, End-Stage Renal Disease Requiring Dialysis, History of Chronic Cocaine and Methamphetamine Use
