(L.A.) Laronda Burton, 70, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Black female.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Laronda Burton.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Phencyclidine

RIP LARONDA BURTON (August 6, 1954 – March 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:22 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
