(L.A.) Lamonta Carter, 37, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lamonta Carter.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP LAMONTA CARTER (March 1, 1987 – January 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:45 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
