Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Black male that occurred in a vacant building.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kory Haynes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP KORY HAYNES (December 20, 1987 – May 10, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was on Wednesday at 11:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 11, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
