Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black female that occurred at her apartment residence.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Kim Crenshaw of Lancaster.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Thermal Burns and Smoke Inhalation
RIP KIM LAVON CRENSHAW (July 27, 1961 – June 24, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

LANCASTER, Calif., June 25 (KNN) – A woman was found dead following an early morning explosion and fire at an apartment complex in West Lancaster.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, crews responded to reports of an explosion at the complex around 3:20 a.m. in the area of Kingtree Avenue and Avenue J 4. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a unit fully engulfed in flames and several residents who had already evacuated the building.
Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters conducted a search of the structure and discovered the body of an adult female inside the affected apartment.
