Kidnapped California Tech Executive Found Dead

The California tech executive who was kidnapped from his home Tuesday morning was confirmed dead Wednesday afternoon.
Tushar Atre, the 50-year-old founder and CEO of web marketing and design firm AtreNet, was taken from his Santa Cruz home around 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, deputies found his white BMW SUV and a dead body inside.
A coroner confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the remains belong to Atre.
Officials said a motive is still unclear but they believe it was a robbery.
