(L.A.) Khiem Bui, 59, Died From Abusing Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Khiem Bui.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Aortic Valve Stenosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:21 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent’s name appears to be Vietnamese.
