(L.A.) Kevin Ruiz Diaz, 30, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kevin Ruiz Diaz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Pulmonary Emboli

Cause of Death B: Deep Vein Thrombosis

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin, and Phencyclidine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
