(L.A.) Kevin Kemp, 64, Died in Section 8 Housing

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Black male that occurred in Section 8 housing.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kevin Kemp.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine Effects

RIP KEVIN P KEMP (December 16, 1960 – June 26, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
