(L.A.) Kayla Racelis, 21, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Kayla Racelis and listed her race/ethnicity as Hispanic [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP KAYLA RACELIS (October 20, 2003 – May 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
