Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

RIP KATILYN HAHN (March 10, 2006 – September 9, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:08 p.m.

The decedent was fatally injured while riding on a speeding motorcycle involved in a three-vehicle crash. She had a boyfriend who just in August was showing off new wheels.

California Highway Patrol said the incident happened on the westbound freeway at Downey Avenue.

Witnesses told the CHP the motorcycle was traveling at high speed when it collided with a black Dodge Charger and a gray Subaru, leaving two persons down in the No. 2 lane.

Paramedics took the motorcycle driver to a trauma center. We have no confirmation as to whether it was Jacob Blumberg and whether he will be charged criminally and/or be sued in civil court for the girl’s death.

The day before, Kevin Waschak died in a motorcycle accident, also in L.A. County, leaving behind his girlfriend, who is the mother to their three young children.
