(L.A.) Karen Egibyan, 50, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old “male” that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the “man” as Karen Egibyan and listed his race/ethnicity as Caucasian.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, History of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:32 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 6, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.

The decedent’s surname appears to be Armenian.
