(L.A.) Kareem Newton, 45, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kareem Newton.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Abdomen

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

LAPD said the shooting happened late Wednesday night.

The decedent had a very long criminal history in San Bernardino County going back more than 20 years, with arrests for stalking, robbery, evasion, and other offenses.
