Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old “Black” male that occurred at a business.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kamal Mohamed of San Pedro.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Chest

RIP KAMAL MOHAMED (January 15, 1957 – May 16, 2023)

The decedent was fatally shot at a Compton store where he worked.

The incident happened at around 10:55 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at at 11:02 a.m.

The address seems to belong to DnD Liquor Mart / Market.
