(L.A.) Juventino Vargas Castanon, 66, Died in a Trailer Home

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Latino male that occurred in a trailer home.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Juventino Vargas Castanon.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Ethanol, Cocaine and Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Heart Failure, Asthma, Ethanol Abuse, Mixed Hypercholesterolemia, and Hypertriglyceridemia

RIP JUVENTINO VARGAS CASTANON (January 25, 1958 – June 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:54 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
