(L.A.) Justin Van Hecke, 51, Died in a Nursing Home

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a nursing home.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Justin Van Hecke.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Hydrocodone and 7-Aminoclonazepam

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Hypertension

RIP JUSTIN VAN HECKE (December 29, 1973 – June 24, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 11, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
