Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Junze Liu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Diphenhydramine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent’s name appears to be Chinese. 刘君泽 (音译)

He may have used the English name Justin.
